Troy Smith resides on the Gold Coast with his wife and three children. Troy is originally from Lismore in northern New South Wales where he attended Trinity Catholic College.
Troy then went on to study a Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University in Queensland before completing his College of Law studies with the University of Sydney in North Sydney. Troy graduated with his L.L.B in 2000 and was admitted to Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001.
Troy then completed his professional legal training with Heidtman & Co Lawyers in Sydney where he worked in commercial litigation. Following this, Troy established a successful property development business in Sydney, before moving into motels where over the course of 15 years he established a successful coach tour operation business which still operates today.
In 2016 Troy then found his calling in criminal law and advocacy, which complimented his profound sense of fairness and justice.
Troy has since attained experience in complex criminal and quasi-criminal law. He has represented clients in vast array of criminal and traffic law offences and is regarded as being a strong advocate who achieves excellent results for his clients.
