Sienna McAllister

Study and role

Sienna is completing a Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology while working full time as a law clerk. She is not yet admitted as a solicitor, and she is working towards admission.

That distinction matters and we state it plainly. A law clerk is not entitled to give you legal advice about your matter. Advice on your prospects, your plea and your strategy comes from the admitted solicitor named on your costs agreement.

What she does on your file

Sienna works with the solicitors on criminal law and family law matters, and attends court regularly for mentions.

The day to day work of a clerk is the part of a file that clients never see and always benefit from: requesting and chasing disclosure from police prosecutions, preparing and collating court documents, assembling character references and supporting material for sentence, keeping court dates diarised and making sure nothing sits waiting on someone else’s desk.

Outside work she trains for endurance and Hyrox competitions, which is a reasonable predictor of how she treats a long file.
