When you need a family lawyer in your corner

Published

What our family law team does

Separation, divorce, property settlement, parenting arrangements, spousal maintenance and child support, and domestic violence matters where they overlap with family law.

Most of it never needs a courtroom. Property matters are usually finalised by consent orders or a binding financial agreement, and parenting matters by a parenting plan or consent orders. Where a matter genuinely needs to be litigated, we will tell you, and where it does not, we will tell you that too.

We act out of Southport and Brisbane CBD, and we appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

When to call

Earlier than most people do. Two time limits catch people out: married couples have 12 months from a divorce order to bring a property application, and de facto couples have 2 years from the end of the relationship.

The first appointment is free and can be a phone call. After that we quote a fixed fee in writing.

Call 07 5522 5777, or see our pages on separation and property settlement.
