Gabby King has worked for TWC Lawyers for about four years.
She started with legal aid matters before progressing to predominately private and some legal aid matters as she is passionate about giving back to the community.
She works predominately in crime and has had carriage of some high-profile cases such as the recent Mekonnen trial.
Further to this, she has also been involved in cases such as the Tool Box Murders, Gold Coast Millionaire John Chardon murder trial and other matters of similar nature.
During Gabby’s studies at university, she worked with the Griffith Innocence Project at Griffith University and has continued her involvement with the project, working pro bono on the case of SHAW, to consider prospects of a subsequent appeal to the Court of Appeal on the basis of new/fresh evidence.
YASMIN ELABBASI
Yasmin Elabbasi is a paralegal at TWC Lawyers and trains with the Tweed Seagulls on the pathway to the GC Titans NRLW squad.
Yasmin Elabbasi is a year off completing her law degree at Southern Cross University and is a paralegal at TWC Lawyers.
The 21-year-old’s role is a paralegal assisting in various matters and preparing briefs. She also does do court appearances but is unable to do any sentences or give advice.
A talented footballer, Yasmin plays and trains with the Tweed Seagulls, on the pathway to the Gold Coast Titans’ NRLW squad.
Yasmin hopes to continue her legal career in family and or criminal law.
