Background

Our Client was served with a Peace & Good Behaviour Application. This was a personal dispute between neighbours that allegedly escalated to violent behaviour.

Process

Consideration of evidence and other witness statements allowed mediation to commence with the Complainant. Discussions continued on the day of first mention in court and mediation was offered to the Complainant in our presence as they were not legally represented.

Outcome

The matter was successful in mediation and the order was discontinued by the Complainant. As a result, both parties were able to avoid undue court costs and further time delays.
